CFAS celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2014 and designed a year-long series of concerts, workshops, lectures and events along with commissioned works by world renowned composers to pay homage to the organizations late founder whom many considered to be… A Force of Nature. In the Chinese lexicon the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water) represent the universal harmonies found in nature. Music reflecting the nature of the elements was performed in a series of concerts.
