Migratory Journeys

Migratory Journeys was another international composition competition that solicited composers to write about the phenomenon of the Chinese diaspora population. The subject matter dealt with the collective migrant experience of the wandering, resettling and emigration of oversees Chinese.

The Identity took the form of a Cloisonné Chrysanthemum whose stamen and petals are formed from converging directional arrows. When the single flower unit is rearranged in the circle it becomes a symbol of a globe…representing the global migration of the Chinese.
